Good to hear from you. So glad that things are moving along. How far away are you from completing your trailer. Would love to see it when its finished. Have you heard of or connected with Charity Water or Ryan's Well.
Blessings to you and your work.
Peace,
Steve
By the way, it was a pleasure to meet and connect with you the other night. Blessing to you both on the most important work you're doing on behalf of all people.
As one degree of seperation would have it I recieved this email this morning. I've made Gemma aware of your blog. I would strongly recommend you connecting with her.
Best,
Steve
Dear Steve
I'm so grateful to be connected to you thanks to Dr Malcolm! I just looked at your site and am completely and utterly thrilled about your work. I looked at the list of amazing people on your support team, and I have had endorsements and spoke alongside many of them as well with our mission, the "WE RISE" Million Voice Choir. I'm not sure how much Malcolm told you about my work, but I'm the Founder/Executive Director of A Single Drop a non-profit humanitarian organization that promotes water as a source of peace and unity and provides water solutions. We offer simple creative solutions to promote social action specifically around water issues and encourage environmental water stewardship to cultivate peace and equality.
Our landmark project, the Million Voice Choir was the single initiative that mobilized this grassroots global songfest that saw over 100 cities in over 60 countries singing a rousing peace song I wrote called We Rise from all over the planet on September 21, 2004. The song was declared "the New Human World Anthem" at the United Nations and Queen Latifah awarded me the CG Vibes Award for CoverGirl to honor women who are changing the world through music. Satish Kumar was one of my mentors who supported me on this path by sharing his story with me about his walk for peace around the world in the 60s. I walked in his footsteps by traveling around the world with this global mission with no money, with just a guitar and my backpack, inviting people to unite and sing with me and see our protection, preservation and sharing of water as one of the most profound acts of peace that we can do today in this ever challenging world.
Based on the concept "it takes a single drop of water to start a wave" one person to initiate social change, this global peace movement was the first drop in a wave of change that launched a worldwide water initiative that brings safe water to people in Asia and Africa, specifically women.
I would be honored if you would take 6 minutes and watch this music video of WE RISE and how I built the Million Voice Choir! Pete Seeger, Archbishop Desmund Tutu, Jane Goodall, 1000 Buddhist nuns, youth from Ibdaa Refugee camp in the West Bank, shelter kids in the South Bronx... it's a very moving video and I hope you can take the time to watch it.
I would very much like to find a way to contribute to your mission! Thanks for your consideration!
