Name:: Elizabeth Powers

About You:: I was born during WWII...a "war baby." Our family lived on the north coast of California, so we had blackout blinds on the windows and turned off the electric lights and using kerosene lamps at night. There were ration stamps and curfews, family friends were killed or maimed in the war, limitations to our freedom, yet a hope for peace.

I also spent some time living in the Middle East. The Saudi people were like people anywhere. Our maid was a Somalian whose husband, father and brothers had been killed by the Russians. She escaped by boat with other women and children to exile in S.A. She'd been royalty in her own country (all her teeth were capped in gold), yet became a servant to survive. We talked a lot about peace and freedom and human rights. She was a wonderful and courageous woman. I met so many other marvelous people there from all over the world who wanted nothing more than to live in peace. We lived in Jeddah, the diplomatic capital of S.A. and I experienced more cultural diversity there than I did while living in San Francisco some 20 years ago.

As a hypnotherapist, life mastery faciltator and meditation teacher, my goal is to help clients achieve peace within, with god or spirit, and in their relationships with family and friends. As an intuitive collage/assemblage artist, my creations are inspired by my muse, Divine Mother.

As a marketer for iLearningGlobal, I promote life-long continuous learning on the internet from world class master seminar leaders in business, marketing, sales, communication and relationship skills, self-help, etc. Through this venue anyone can gain life skills, self confidence and educate themselves to become positive proactive contributors to a more peaceful and prosperous future for less than the price of a latte per day.

I strive to create peace in my life despite the chaos that surrounds me and to help others achieve inner tranquility for themselves. I look for the best in others and draw out their higher selves for their highest good. I respect their differences, but focus on our similarities. I love without expectation and give without thought of reward. I am at peace with myself and believe it is "possible" to have peace in the world.

How Would You Create Peace?: I choose peace and to always come from a place of love, harmony, forgiveness, and peace in my thoughts and deeds.

In this moment I am at peace with myself.
I am at peace with my husband.
I am at peace with my family.
I am at peace with my friends and neighbors.
I am at peace with those who no longer choose to be my friends.
I am at peace with past relationships and with those who have passed on.
I am at peace with those who are not at peace with themselves and others.
I am at peace with those who have never experienced peace.
I am at peace and I choose peace in my life.

Despite the chaos and negativity that surrounds me, I choose to hold thoughts of love, forgiveness and peace. "Peace begins with me" and radiates out to the world. In meditation and prayer, I will focus on peace and send healing energy out to the world.

For as long as I can remember, every campaign involving disease, drugs, alcohol, terrorism, and yes, even sports has been couched in the metaphors of war.

I want to participate in changing the way we speak so that positive results will manifest. I've experienced too often in my life that "what you resist, persists", that war only begets more war, that peace is more than a word...it's a state of beingness. I want to facilitate others in finding their own inner peace and help them to learn how to radiate healing energy throughout our pain-ridden planet.

Let there be peace on earth.
