Depoe Bay is on the Central Oregon Coast half way between Newport and Lincoln City. It was named after Chief Depoe who was originally granted land here by the US Gov't. The claim to fame is "The World's Smallest (working) Harbor" and "Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast." It's beautiful here. You'll have to check it out sometime. It's a tourism driven area and lots of folks from the Willamette Valley and Portland have second homes here.
We live about a block from the ocean (cliff area), the great Pacific (peaceful).
